For a week now, I’ve been in a war. It’s a battle I fight every winter.
The worst part is that the enemy is so stinkin’ little. Practically microscopic. As a single combatant it’s tee-niney and I could beat just one ittsy bitty adversary, but that’s not how this opponent rolls. Oh, no.
It joins forces with millions and billions. And then it looks like this.
I live where I’m surrounded by these. Our part of Texas is crazy filled with them. No, this cedar tree is not on fire. It’s releasing the enemy, I mean, pollen.
And making plenty of people sick, including me. Miserable. Wanting to rip their faces off miserable. Wanting to gouge out their eyes miserable. Wanting to put a pipe cleaner up through their nose all the way down their throat miserable and pull it back and forth scratching. Have I mentioned miserable?
Thankfully, I had two friends step in to help me with medication. Two days later and I was not crying at 4am in misery any more. Which is a really good thing since the very next day we left for “the other camp”, also known as One Thousand Nine Hundred Acres of Cedar Camp.
Oftentimes, the battle ends up with me having a sinus infection as the final parlay from the enemy. Like here. I’m taking Vit C, Vit E, and Thieves oil on top of the medication in hopes of thwarting the enemy. If it doesn’t work, I’m considering this…
Of course, I’ll have to wear this…
I’m actually considering this little accessory as my fashion statement every December through February. What do you think?
How was your weekend?

What do I think? I think you’re STINKIN’ FUNNY that’s what I think! :0) Ahhh, your posts are always great. :0)
That photo of the tree is amazing! WOW!
I pray you feel all better soon and that the rain helped with some of the misery.
love ya!
Warning, this is a product plug….
Chloraseptic Allergen Block. Amazing stuff. Works well. No medications to injest or spray or whatever. A simple paste/gel that you apply to the nares and under the nose. Changes the ions of pollen before they enter your system and blocks much of the absorbtion. LOVE IT! A bit pricey $13.00. BUT cheaper than a trip to Dr. R. and the abx he will Rx. It is non-medicinal, no side effects, drys clear. Give it a try. I use it several times a day and have gotten away from so much OTC meds.
So sorry about your tree allergies. My allergies — to trees — are terrible in the spring. Now, in Minnesota I have to wait (gladly) until April/May. Then I feel as if I have to rip my eyes out.
Praying for some relief for you!
