My friends, local, distant and cyber (who are now counted as real, but distant), you have done this with me. In losing Mom, I weep. In remembering Mom and where she is now, I rejoice.

This year we collected 41 pairs of shoes for Soles 4 Souls, donated 5 more pairs of shoes via Tom’s purchases, and bought 29 pairs of stinkin’ cute shoes! My friends have some great taste in shoes. While not reaching the goal of 100 shoes, 75 shoes by 24 participants is pretty great. A sweet friend forgot to share that she and her hubby donated $50 to Soles4Souls in my mom’s name! That means the goal was exceeded by 25! Wahooo!! I’m so excited to know that 96 people will receive shoes in honor of my mom’s memory. Thank you, everyone! And thank you Britta and Scott!
You have helped turn January 25th from a day of weeping, to a day of rejoicing; and not just for me, but for impoverished people around the world.

ok, I had to purchase my shoes late but they WERE for your mom’s day! I finally bought a pair of Tom’s
I’m so excited, they are black. My mom also bought Sweet Pea a cute little pair of Tom’s (but we have to get a bigger size, his foot is so chubby!). So two pairs of Tom’s in honor of your mother have been purchased by my family

Well…we underestimated Sweet Pea’s foot size (he’s got some chunky little feeties!) so my mom is taking them to get a bigger size
