Make the Most of Your C-Section {book launch and giveaway!}

by GfG on July 18, 2012

Today, I launch the release of a book that will encourage and empower women to create the birth experience they want in the operating room!

Let me introduce my baby… Make the Most of Your C-Section: Prepare for a More Natural & Personalized Birth!

C-sections can be beautiful, mother & baby centered experiences!

Most typical c-sections are doctor centered surgeries.  I am advocating for much more than that!  I believe in family centered c-sections!

This eBook has suggestions on making the most of your preparation, your actual surgery, your recovery, and your conversations with your doctor.  It has suggestions on ways a woman can make her birth experience personal and more like a natural birth.  All pregnant women should read it, not just women already planning c-sections!

Why should all pregnant women read this book?

About 33% of deliveries are c-sections.  While many of those are planned, there are also lots of unplanned c-sections. Being prepared to step into Plan B, if you were trying for a natural birth is crucial for creating the birth experience you want.

I want all mothers… whether you are planning a c-section or planning for a natural birth…. to have personalized birth experiences.

My book helps bridge the gap between the delivery room and the operating room!

Read all I have to offer you in the this fabulous book!  I give you tips on preparation, talking to your doctor, recovery, your home life  and much more!

I hope that I never have to have another c-section but I am not in denial that I very well may at some point. I would like to have this book as a resource for myself and to share tidbits from with others!

Congratulations on the launch of your new book. I’m so excited for you. How wonderful it is to see all of your hard work become a reality. Although I no longer need to prepare for childbirth, I do have those around me who can benefit from your experience and knowledge. Now I’m off to promote you and your new eBook! ((hugs))

I so wanted to read this book! And I am hoping that it either has your babies’ birth stories in it or that you’ll post them soon (you said you would when I was overdue and dying ;) )

The #1 birth story is in the book. :)

I completely forgot I said I would do that. I’ll get right on it.

I cannot wait to read this! All of my babies have been c-sections. And if we are blessed with a 4th this is the way I want to do it!

I had an unexpected c-section with my one delivery and sure wish that I had a resource like this to prepare me when I had my child. I have a sweet young friend who is pregnant and if I win I will give it to her….if I don’t win, I will buy her one.

Awesome job, Gfg. I wish I’d had something like this when my first was born. I felt like the biggest ‘delivery failure’ after having to have a c-section when ‘all the other girls’ got to do it the *right* way.

PRAISE GOD I no longer feel that way. It didn’t take me long but the stigma was still there. After 4 c-setions, two emergency and then it was just a foregone conclusion, I’m totally at peace with the awesomeness of getting a sweet baby in this day and age with the gift of modern medicine.

We got to the point of making it a party and enjoying the whole process no matter the method. :)

I can’t wait to read this, I’ve been book shopping for a while and finally found this! :) I was planning a vbac but ended up losing my son at 20 weeks to an incompetent cervix. After a lot of research and finding a doctor I feel confident in, I’ve decided to go for an abdominal cerclage. I never thought I would even dream of planning for a c-section but I’m so thankful to have found this site. Thank you so much, this gives me so much hope to still have a satisfying birth experience when the time comes. xxx
