When it’s time to clean, everyone pitches in around here.
Even the four year old.
After he finishes his other chores, I give him his favorite one: window washing. I hand him the Windex and paper towels and let him have at it. Never have I met a more determined window and mirror cleaner.
Nor one as stinkin’ adorable.
You can see the treasure of responsibility on his face as he does his part to help. He cherishes it.
The windows and mirrors may not be perfect, but they are clean and my son has gained experience working. The reflection isn’t the important part, but the acceptance of the task. It is my responsibility to train my children to work and how to enjoy it.
It cheers my heart to do my cleaning while I see such a sweet face full of joy in his serving.
Cutest window washer ever! Right? How do you teach your littles to work?
