Wahoo! The papers are printed. The binders are ready. The pencils are sharpened. Let’s do this!
We started our academic school year last Thursday and took our now traditional first day of school photos yesterday (yes, just in time for today’s link up!). Each student chose some books from their line up. Again, I just loved seeing what they chose.
Also… I’m outing the kids here on the web. Hence forth, they will be referred to by their actual names.
We originally didn’t want grade titles, but certain situations required we claim something (BSF, AWANA, choir, etc.) so we decided. The great thing about homeschooling is that we can change it whenever we want (I think one particular student will jump a grade this year), though the kids are more rigid about it than My Sweetie/Paul and I are.
HB/Hannah Beth: 11th Grade
The Boy/Noah: 8th Grade
Princess/Chloe: 6th Grade
Faith/Phoebe: 3rd Grade
Cutie Pie/Esther: 2nd Grade
And… even though he will not be doing any “formal” school, but becausewe believe in a lifestyle of learning…
Wee Babe/Paul Louis: Chief Interrupter and Mascot

Don’t I have some smashingly adorable students? Link up and let us see your super students!

Beautiful children!
I’ve been thinking about outing my children on my blog too. What made you decide to switch?
Blair,
Well… a few things. Years ago my blog guru told me that it is crazy easy to figure out where you live, so I wasn’t really hiding that. Also, my kids aren’t off on their own much, so it’s not like a stranger has ample opportunity to connect with them. Lastly, I just have a peace about it.
Did all your kids just… grow up over night?
Good luck with school! Thanks for letting us follow your adventures
Yes, Sam, they did! Isn’t it terrible?
Time flies quicker than possible.
ADORABLE! I LOOOOVE seeing what books they pick to have in their photo. :0)
we love all of you!
(and miss you like crazy too)
