We prayed for our children to have friends here in our new home, but even more for us to have family friends. God answered quickly and beautifully. Truly.
Not only do these friends love the LORD, but the homeschool and we just connect. You know?
We met one of these precious families the very first Sunday we were in town. As soon as the pastor (the daddy) said they homeschooled and had eight kids, my hopes were piqued. The night we had them over for dinner, you would have thought the kids had known each other for years. They giggled and galloped around, sharing stories and speculations as if they were life long friends. I felt an immediate fondness for Molly and Paul laughed with Frank in a comfortable way.
The second family, we met just a few short weeks later. Again, I was stunned at how the kids connected so very quickly. The moment my kids saw the LOTR swords on the wall in the family room, I was able to chat one-on-one with sweet Jasmine, and Paul heard Chris’ one liners, our friendships were sealed.
We are all grateful the LORD answered our prayers for friends to enjoy our new home with in such special and fun ways.

I am so happy for you all. God has been so faithful. Of course, as Edie can testify, you guys have actively sought out all of Albuquerque, and worked hard to make a new home. Well done!
Yes, we have family friends…but they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico!! Waaaaa!

We sure miss y’all. Honestly, I’m regretting not making the most of our relationship with y’all by having more family get togethers. We hope to talk y’all into coming here to camp and hike sometime next summer.
